Mason started solids this week(last week? sometime recently...I feed my children, really, I do) and since he seems to be doing fine with rice cereal, it was time to add some veggies. I started him with sweet potatoes, since his older brothers loved those.
I gave Mason a spoonful of rice cereal and he ate it. Then, I gave him a spoonful of sweet potatoes. He grabbed the tray on his high chair and used it to pull himself all the way forward, mouth open.
Since I'm convinced rice cereal, the staple of a baby's diet, is about as tasty as school glue, I guess cold veggies are a vast improvement.
