Halloween Shopping

I took Jack with me today to pick out Halloween costumes. This is his fourth Halloween and it was only his very first costume that I was able to pick out myself. For his second, he insisted on he and Adam being "Hoppys"(bunnies) and had to have a matching giraffe costume with Adam for his third.

I tried to guide him to something cute this year, but he was not having it. He really wants to be a "scary pirate"- this costume we found that is a pirate/skeleton. I figure that there are many Halloweens to come where the boys will be something scary and/or gross. So, we compromised on a "mighty knight" costume.

He wanted the little boys to be dragons so that he could "en garde" the dragons. But, I was a little afraid of what that would mean for their safety, so they are going to be cute furry monsters.

Bumbo

Mason is starting to like sitting in his Bumbo seat, watching his brothers go flying past him. It cracks me up to see such a little guy sitting up.

Ball pit

Adam likes to climb up on the toy box and then dive into his ball pit. Good thing I cleaned it out of the toys that Jack likes to hide in there.

Mason had his 4 month check up today. He's 15lb 4oz and 26in long. He's growing like a weed.

Relaxin'

Adam is still feeling a little sick, so he took it easy today.

And we're rolling!

Mason is very good at rolling from his back to his tummy...but then he gets stuck. He's not very fond of being on his tummy, so he'll scream. We put him back on his back...and the whole cycle starts over again.

Bathtime

Mason still isn't overly thrilled by bathtime. But, he needs his hair washed alot since everyone likes to touch it!

Playdoh

Jack was so happy that he had new playdoh to create with. He's wearing his Awana vest, which he's slept in the past two nights and wants to wear all day, too.

Park

Adam was moving too quickly for me to get a good picture of him. That boy is fast.

Party

Today is Cousin Madalyn's 2nd birthday.

Adam and Madalyn playing pin the tail on the donkey.

Right before Mason fell asleep for the duration of the party.

One of Miss Annabelly because she is so stinking cute.

Pumpkin

I made the mistake of calling Jack "pumpkin" today. He informed me that he is not a pumpkin "Because pumpkins are like a circle and I am not a circle. And they are orange and I'm not orange. And I have different kind of skin."

Jackie

Jack has decided that his name isn't Jack, it's "just Jackie." He was mad that his teacher was calling him Jack, so I made sure to tell her on his second day that he wanted to be Jackie. He was much happier after school yesterday because of that.

Jack's first day of preschool

Jack told me all about his day at preschool. They read Old Macdonald and he listed a bunch of animals from the story. He said he played with trains, playdoh, and blocks. He wants to go back tomorrow to get his cow nametag.

Idlewild Park on Labor Day

We took the boys to Idlewild today. They had such a blast. Jack had a great time on all the rides, even going on the roller coaster with Daddy. Adam went on a few rides, but Storybook Forest was his favorite. Mason happily hung out, taking everything in. They were completely worn out by the end of the day.

Jack's first baseball game

Yesterday, Jack went to his first baseball game at PNC Park. He went with Daddy, his friend Matt, and Matt's dad, Chris. I think they were more excited about the cotton candy than about the game.
