Grammy and Papa Visit

The lizard that Grammy caught.
I threw out that container.
I don't think it's possible to wash it well enough that I would want to ever use it again.

Grammy and Papa Visit

Grammy and Papa came down to visit for a long weekend. The boys got to show them the beach and we had an early Christmas dinner.

Happy Birthday, Grammy!

Today was Grammy's birthday. After spending the day at Magic Kingdom, we went out to dinner at Spoodles on the Boardwalk to celebrate.

Happy 4th!

We went to the 4th of July parade here in town in the morning. In the afternoon, we headed to the pool to have a picnic with family. Thanks to Aunt Melody and Uncle Ken for inviting us. Adam fell asleep on the way there and had just woke up in this first pic.

The boys sat at the dessert table as if it were their own personal buffet.

It was a chilly day, so it took a little while for the kids to get in the pool. They played on the steps at first.

But, they did eventually get in. Even Daddy and Mommy got in, too.

Too cold for Mason, though.

Jackie and Mason fell asleep on the way home. They didn't even wake up when Grammy and Papa came over and set off fireworks in our driveway.

Waiting for the fireworks to start in the park.
Adam liked the fireworks, but he was more impressed with the ones that Papa set off in our driveway than the big ones in the park.
It was about 11:00pm by the time that we returned home. Adam walked straight up to his room and climbed in bed.

Aviary

We went to the Aviary this afternoon with Grammy and Annabelle.

Cousin Annabelle fits right in with my boys. We had a 4, 3, (almost)2, and a 1 year old with us.
The boys liked the penguins the best.

Mason was keeping us on schedule.
Jack didn't like most of the birds, but this one was okay, since it obviously couldn't eat him.

Birthday Ice Cream

The boys, Grammy, and I went to Bruster's to get ice cream to celebrate Mason's birthday. At first, he looked to be thinking, "What is this stuff? Where's my CAKE?"

But, he ended up liking it.
Jack and Adam needed no encouragement to dig right in. The guy who made Jack's cone was very generous with the scoops and Adam tried to eat some of Jack's after he was done with his own. Jack's was so big we ended up having to put it in a bowl. I told Adam he could have one bite, so he LOADED up the spoon for his "one" bite.

Happy Birthday, Papa!

Tomorrow is Papa's birthday, so we went out tonight to celebrate. We went to a Japanese steakhouse and the boys were highly entertained.

Happy Birthday, Papa! Sorry that Jack remembers everything that you say and now tells everyone that you are older than dirt.
