Happy 4th!

We went to the 4th of July parade here in town in the morning. In the afternoon, we headed to the pool to have a picnic with family. Thanks to Aunt Melody and Uncle Ken for inviting us. Adam fell asleep on the way there and had just woke up in this first pic.

The boys sat at the dessert table as if it were their own personal buffet.

It was a chilly day, so it took a little while for the kids to get in the pool. They played on the steps at first.

But, they did eventually get in. Even Daddy and Mommy got in, too.

Jackie and Mason fell asleep on the way home. They didn't even wake up when Grammy and Papa came over and set off fireworks in our driveway.

Adam liked the fireworks, but he was more impressed with the ones that Papa set off in our driveway than the big ones in the park.

It was about 11:00pm by the time that we returned home. Adam walked straight up to his room and climbed in bed.

Lots of Visitors

Grandpa Marty and Miss Linda came up to visit today. It was Christmas all over again!

Mason really liked all the buttons on his Cars ride-on toy, though his brothers think he is too little for it and want to take it over.

After they headed back to WV, Uncle Bryan, Aunt Leslie, and Annabelle came over for dinner and to play Wii. Unfortunately, the boys were too tired to be able to visit with them for very long. Annabelle loved having all the toys to herself, though!

Cousin Annabelle was an angel in the children's Christmas program this morning at Uncle Bryan and Aunt Leslie's church. What, you never heard of an angel in a highchair?
Jack was rather fascinated by the kids. He wanted to know why we don't have kings, angels, and sheep at our church. Yes, he's standing on the pew and yes, I let him do it. We were in the very back of the church and I wanted him to be able to see. Better to have him stand on the pew and be able to see than to crawl underneath the pews to get to the front for a better look...that was Adam, later in the service.
