How Sweet

Adam moved into Jackie's room a few weeks ago. It has made for some interesting nights, as they have adjusted to rooming together. Sometimes it sounds like they are going to come crashing down through the ceiling. Slowly, it's been getting better. Tonight, when they fell asleep, they fell asleep cuddled up together in Adam's bed. I couldn't resist taking a quick pic- mostly to have proof of how much they do love each other- so I can look at this sweet pic during those other times.

Getting better

Mason still has a runny nose, but his eyes look much better.

Doesn't it look like...

Adam is saying, "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease, Daddy....

...take me with you!"?
Okay, that's not really what was going on, but Adam still looks cute in Daddy's soccer jersey.

Yay, Adam

Adam's skills checklist was sent home from his pre-preschool class today. He did pretty well, getting a few "always" marks: counting, curiosity, naming common objects, and and throwing a ball. He received alot of "sometimes" marks, too.

I had to laugh at one of the "never" marks, though. Beside the skill of "draws a face"- his teacher wrote "more interested in dumping crayons." Sounds true to form.

Why the helmet?

In Jackie's words, "Because I'm having a bad hair day and the helmet covers my bad hair."

Jackie's Dream

Mason's turn

To get sick, that is. Here he is, just a minute or two after I cleaned his face. Yes, I'm aware that it's gross. He has that much gunk coming out of him right now. He's still in a pretty good mood for a baby who is sick. (Oh and yes, I did clean his face again right after I took this pic.)

I really don't want to make this our new Wednesday tradition- going to the doctor's office. Even the receptionist at the office said so- "We've got to stop meeting like this."

It only took Adam a day or two on antibiotics for his ooze to clear up, so I'm hoping Mason will be feeling much better soon.

8 Months Old

Poor little bear

Poor guy has a sinus infection that is draining out of his eyes, an ear infection, and a fever. Not even a lollipop could make him smile.

Move it, move it

Mason likes to move it, move it, he likes to move it, move it...those are the words to that song in our house.

Posting before we know the outcome of the game; let's hope it's a good one!

4 year-old check-up

A little over a month late, but this was when we could get an appointment with Jackie's regular doctor. He's now 40 pounds and 41 1/8" tall. Getting to be so grown-up....though annoyed with Mommy for taking his picture while he was trying to build something with clay.

Hurry!

Take the picture, quick! Before Mason's half-laugh turns into a full-blown cry.
'Tis the season for adorable winter baby hats, but Mason is not a fan.

Changed his mind

Guess the temperature finally convinced Adam that being naked all the time isn't the best idea. Here he is, right after his nap this afternoon- his first in his big boy bed...or, at least, beside his bed.

Brrr!

The cold weather has set in for the winter. Jackie likes to be all bundled up with a big blanket.
Adam, on the other hand, is not convinced that it is cold enough for him to have to wear clothes and he tries to take off as many of them as he can as often as he can.

Playing in the Snow

We've had about 6-8 inches of snowfall since last night. The boys were eager to go out and play in it. Adam almost immediately started throwing snowballs and liked plopping himself down in it. Jack wanted to make snow angels and build a snowman. We had a fun snowball fight!

Mason's New Hangout

Just try to joke with Jack

He doesn't take it well.

He was using a flashlight to make a "flying saucer" on the ceiling and was talking about outer space and aliens.

I jokingly asked him if he came from outer space.

Oh, the look he gave me when he informed me, "No, Mommy, I came from God."

Baby Pirate

Aaargh! Mason is a baby pirate, coming to raid your Cheerios treasure!

Tired

Adam, right before we left for pre-preschool this morning. Thursday mornings are rough on us; doesn't he look like he could use some coffee in that mug?

A Perfect Tent

Jackie and Adam played in the tent that they wanted made over their ball pit. In Jackie's words, "Thank you, Mommy. It's a perfect tent!" Though he didn't like me peeking in to take their pics; he stuck his head out to tell me to keep out!

Puzzles

Posted at Jackie's request. He recently started really enjoying putting together puzzles. If you are wondering why a piece is missing, that would be because Adam the billy goat ate it.

Well, not the whole piece...but Manny's eyes have seen better days. Jackie refuses to put a chewed up piece into his puzzle.

Lots of Visitors

Grandpa Marty and Miss Linda came up to visit today. It was Christmas all over again!

Mason really liked all the buttons on his Cars ride-on toy, though his brothers think he is too little for it and want to take it over.

After they headed back to WV, Uncle Bryan, Aunt Leslie, and Annabelle came over for dinner and to play Wii. Unfortunately, the boys were too tired to be able to visit with them for very long. Annabelle loved having all the toys to herself, though!

Not exactly crawling...

But, Mason sure can move! First, it was just being able to roll wherever he wanted. But, now, he reaches an arm out, uses that arm to pull himself, the back arm and his legs to push, and he can get himself where he wants to go pretty quickly.
